Our partner, Antoine Camus, and our colleague, Stéphane Babonneau, lawyers for Madame Gisèle Pelicot, have obtained from the Criminal Court of Vaucluse full and unreserved publicity for the broadcasting of all videos relevant to the proceedings.
“It is only when viewed in their entirety, and only in their entirety, that we will be able to measure the contribution of each individual to this monstrosity which lasted ten years for Gisèle Pelicot. To this banality of evil, this banality of rape”, says Antoine Camus.
As a reminder, on September 20, the President of the Court had initially forbidden the images to be released to the public and the press. “Considering that these images are indecent and shocking, this will only be done in the presence of the parties to the trial and the court”, he had decided. Five days later, Antoine Camus and Stéphane Babonneau called for the restrictions to be lifted, in the name of their client’s fight against sexual violence.
