Threatened by artificial intelligence, dubbing actors join forces in an international collective

On Thursday 25 May, voices from the worlds of film, advertising and video games from around ten countries announced that they were joining forces to “protect and preserve this heritage”. Dubbing actors want to have their say. In a manifesto published on Thursday 25 May, as the Cannes Film Festival welcomes the world’s cinema, 21 unions and associations of voice professionals from ten countries are raising their voices in the face of artificial intelligence (AI).
