U.S. media conglomerate Ziff Davis – publisher of CNet, PCMag, IGN, and others – has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging unlawfully use of its copyrighted content to train its AI models. This case adds to a growing wave of legal actions brought by media organizations over similar concerns.
In an interview with La Tribune, Mathilde Croze, partner, sheds light on the hurdles faced by French stakeholders trying to take legal action against Big Tech like Meta for copyright violations:
“The real challenge lies in whether our judicial system can handle such technically complex cases—especially when going up against corporations with virtually unlimited resources.”
